PRINCIPAL, TED BANTON
To our Pacetti Bay Community,
I would like to welcome all our Wildcat community members to Pacetti Bay Middle School. I have had the opportunity to serve as an educator in the St. Johns County School District since 1999. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences and Secondary Education from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida, I continued my studies towards a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida.
I began my career as a US Government teacher at St. Augustine High School. I then moved to Switzerland Point Middle School as a US History and Reading teacher. In 2000 I was part of the inaugural staff at Pedro Menendez High School where I taught US Government, US History, World History, Ceramics and Intensive Reading. In 2004, I moved to the SJCSD offices and served as a curriculum coordinator, focused on Social Sciences, Advanced Academic Programs, the Arts, World Languages and ESOL. In 2012, I moved to the position of Assistant Principal at Sebastian Middle School. In 2016, I was offered the opportunity to serve at Allen D. Nease High School.
In June, 2020 Superintendent Forson offered me the opportunity serve as the Principal of Pacetti Bay Middle School. With my experiences in the high school arena, I plan to ensure that all of our kids are prepared for the most rigorous and challenging high school experience. I look forward to the possibilities for the 2020- 2021 school year as part of the Wildcat Nation!
